
Greece: Violence erupts between protesters and police at Athens May Day demo
A large number of protesters rallied in central Athens during May Day demonstrations on Wednesday, where some we seen protesters briefly clashing with police.
Footage shows Police confronting some demonstrators, who lobbed incendiary devices at the police officers.
Left-wing and anarchist organisations also marched to the Greek Parliament where they were joined by former Greek Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis.
During the rally, Member of Executive Committee of 'All Workers Militant Front' Giorgos Perros gave explicit support to Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, and he also criticised the Syriza government.
"We want to condemn the Syriza government, which under command of the US ambassador and through its MP Costats Douzinas met with a representative of Juan Guaido," Perros said.
