Belgium: May Day protests rock central Brussels
Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Brussels on Wednesday as part of International Workers' Day demonstrations across the world.
Protesters were seen kicking barriers at construction sites and throwing paint onto cars and buildings as they marched through the Belgium capital.
Others held banners and signs called for 'revolution' and said that 'capitalism kills' as they let off smoke from flares.
International Workers' Day, also known as May Day or 1 May, is marked by large demonstrations of workers and labour activists across the world, who organise marches to campaign for improved labour conditions, and other social issues.
