Venezuela: Protesters run over by armoured vehicles during pro-Guaido protest *GRAPHIC*
Pro-Guaido protesters were seen being run over by armoured vehicles outside the La Carlota military base in Caracas on Tuesday, after opposition leader Juan Guaido called for a military and popular uprising earlier in the day.
The Chinese made VN-4 Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) can be seen driving into protesters who were throwing stones and other objects at Venezuelan National Guard personnel. It is still unclear how many people may have been injured, although multiple protesters can be seen on the ground beneath the 9-tonne vehicle.
Venezuela has been in a political crisis since January 23, when Guaido declared himself interim-president, in a move that was rapidly granted official recognition by the United States and several other countries and international bodies.
