
China: Audi showcases AI:ME autonomous concept car in Shanghai
Audi presented two of its next generation concept vehicles on the first day of the Auto Shanghai car show in Shanghai on Tuesday.
The German auto-maker unveiled the AI:ME, a self-driving concept car for megacities which can also be operated by an individual. It comes with a pergola glass roof and even space for live plants. The concept offers ample room inside along with a futuristic-looking cabin.
Audi also showcased its Aicon model which features a luxurious lounge-like environment inside with space freed up by the removal of the steering wheel and peddles. It incorporates Level 5 autonomous driving technology which is aimed at reducing the rate of accidents.
