      Protesters gathered outside the Defence Ministry in Khartoum on Monday to demand a civilian transitional government replace the ruling military council.

      Protesters carried banners and Sudanese flags and chanted.

      Protests have been ongoing ever since a military coup toppled president Omar al-Bashir on April 11.
