Netherlands: Ajax fans clash with police before Juventus game

Ajax supporters clashed with police in Amsterdam before their side's Champions League quarter-final against Juventus on Wednesday.

Water cannons were deployed disperse hooligans, who had earlier set fire to rubbish bins and lit flares as they made their way to the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Around 120 Juventus fans were also arrested in a separate incident with police reportedly confiscating hazardous objects from the detainees.

The meeting ended in a 1-1 draw.
