
French Guiana: Ariane Soyuz rocket launches four satellites into orbit
Satellite launch company Arianespace launched four O3b MEO communication satellites into orbit using an Arianespace Soyuz ST-B rocket from Kourou on Thursday afternoon.
The four Ka-band satellites will join SES's constellation of O3b MEO satellites, orbiting at approximately 8,000 km from Earth and will serve customers based in 50 countries.
The launch was nominated Soyuz Flight VS22 in Arianespace's numbering system, indicating the 22nd flight of the Russian-built rocket since its inauguration at the Spaceport in October 2011.
