      Spain: Popstar Shakira appears in Madrid court on plagiarism charge

      Colombian musicians Shakira and Carlos Vives appeared in a Madrid court on Wednesday to answer charges of plagiarism.

      Cuban musician Livan Rafael Castellano claims that the duo's 2016 international hit 'La Bicicleta' borrows parts of his 1997 song 'Yo te quiero tanto' without credit.

      Shakira has previously faced accusations of plagiarism, when a Dominican singer accused her of stealing his composition in her 2010 hit 'Loca'.
