Argentina: Thousands march against abortion in Buenos Aires
Thousands of people joined a "March for Life" in Buenos Aires on Saturday, two days ahead of the International Day of the Unborn Child.
The rally began in Plaza Italia and ended outside the School of Law in the Recoleta neighbourhood.
A number of similar protests were held across the country.
The march was organised by several pro-life pressure groups who oppose the legalisation of abortion.
Abortion is currently illegal in Argentina, except in cases of rape or when the life or health of the woman is at risk.
In August 2018, Argentina's Senate narrowly rejected a bill that would have allowed women to have abortions in the first 14 weeks of pregnancy.
