France: Paris' historic Church of Saint-Sulpice engulfed in flames
The 17th-century Church of Saint-Sulpice was engulfed in flames on Sunday, as the Paris fire department rushed to the scene in a bid to contain the damage.
The fire was reported around noon, while first images revealed that the church was already in flames by the time the fire department reached it.
The Roman Catholic Church, located at the 6th district in Paris, is the second largest church in the city after Notre-Dame, and was built in the 17th century to honour of Bishop Sulpitius the Pious.
