Hotel of the gods! Three giant deities protect Chinese hotel from evil spirits
Three giant gods that protect staff and guests at the Tianzi Hotel from malevolent spirits, were seen in their full glory in Yanjiao on Friday.
The hotel was built in the shape of three men adorned in colourful costumes to symbolise three Chinese Gods: Fu (in red) the god of fortune, Lu (in green) the god of status and prosperity, and Shou (in orange) the God of longevity.
Locals say the location was long ago the site of a graveyard. For exorcism, the three Gods were erected as protection against any remaining evil spirits.
The structure set a 2001 Guinness World Record for being the world's "biggest image building."
