
Somalia: Car bomb leaves four dead and nine wounded in Mogadishu
Four people died and nine were injured after a car bomb exploded near a restaurant in central Mogadishu on Thursday. The attack reportedly occurred near a security checkpoint in the Somali capital, close to the presidential palace.
Several cars were destroyed and buildings were damaged. A witness said the explosion was heavy and loud. "I parked here and went inside my restaurant, after a few minutes there was a loud explosion, I came outside and saw my brother injured," the witness said.
According to reports, the terrorist group Al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the attack.
