Spain: Real Madrid 'bleeding in defence' without Ramos - Ajax coach
Ajax coach Erik ten Hag was optimistic about his side's chances in their Champions League tie against Real Madrid in a pre-match press conference at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Monday.
He highlighted Sergio Ramos' absence as crucial, leaving Real "bleeding in defence" without their talismanic defender.
The Spanish defender received a two-match ban for unsportmanlike conduct, after voluntarily picking up a yellow card to avoid further bans later in the competition.
Speaking alongside his boss, Argenitinian international Nicolas Tagliafico said the team "came here to try and qualify and of course Real Madrid also wants that."
"I hope it will be a great match and I hope we get what we came here for," he added.
In the first leg, played at the Johan Crujiff Arena in Amsterdam, Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory. The Spanish giants must avoid a loss if they want to qualify for the quarter-finals.
