UK: Football world bids final farewell to World Cup winner Gordon Banks

Mourners and fans gathered in Stoke-on-Trent to commemorate the life of footballing great Gordon Banks at his funeral on Monday.

The 81-year-old former England and Stoke City goalkeeper passed away on February 12.

Among those who paid their respects to the World Cup winning goalkeeper were Stoke City goalkeeper Jack Butland, Burnley's Joe Hart and Leicester City number one Kasper Schmeichel, who served as pallbearers.

Banks was named FIFA goalkeeper of the year six times throughout his career and won the World Cup with England in 1966.
