Footage shows a cow being rescued by a fire brigade in the Italian commune of Melito di Porto Salvo on Sunday, after the animal fell into a ravine.
The rescue operation came after the cow failed to get out of the ravine independently due to the impassable terrain.
The Reggio Calabria's fire brigade was alerted following the incident. After several unsuccessful attempts to recover the animal from the ravine, the brigade deployed a helicopter and used a barycentric hook to lift the cow.
Following the rescue operation, the cow was brought to a safe area and returned to its owner and veterinarians.
