
Mexico: Canelo and Jacobs face off in Mexico City before May 4 brawl
Mexican middleweight WBC, WBA and Lineal and Ring World Champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez face off with and held a press conference alongside American IBF Middleweight World Champion Daniel Jacobs in Mexico City on Friday.
The two could be seen facing off on stage before speaking to the press. Daniels spoke respectfully of his future opponent.
"Canelo is a stellar champion and he has proved that time and time again and what a worthy opponent to step in the ring with. So I take my hat off to Canelo for accepting these fight, he is a true champion," Daniels said.
Canelo went on to acknowledge that he had a "very difficult opponent" in front of him, but that he was determined to "win next May 4 for all of Mexico and return as the champion."
Their 12-round fight will take place at the T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas on May 4.
