Argentina: Protesters demand dismissal of federal judge amid bribe allegations
Around five thousand protesters took to the streets of Buenos Aires on Thursday, demanding the dismissal of federal judge Luis Rodriguez, who has been accused of taking bribes.
People held banners and chanted with Argentine writer Santiago Kovadloff as he lambasted "true thieves, swindlers of the state and the people" from on stage.
Rodriguez is accused of taking a $10 million (€ 8.9 million) bribe to protect now deceased private secretary of former Argentine president Nestor Kirchner, Daniel Munoz.
The bribe was reportedly paid to stop the investigation into Munoz, who was allegedly involved with money laundering.
