
India: Female pilots showcase their skills at Aero India 2019
All-female crews piloted many of the aircraft flown at the 2019 Aero India exhibition held in Bangalore on Saturday, to showcase women's achievements in aviation.
India's top-ranked badminton player and Olympic Silver medallist PV Sindhu took part in the event and became the first woman to co-pilot the Indian-made Tejas fighter jet.
Footage shows the Tejas in flight as well as other manoeuvres by various jets and helicopters.
The Aero India exhibition, which takes place in Yelankha Airforce Base, is India’s largest aerospace exhibition.
