      Venezuelans stormed the border to Colombia at the Simon Bolivar Bridge in La Parada on Friday, frantically climbing over and tearing down gates to reach Colombia, in footage filmed by the Colombian Migration Authority.

      One woman with a bloodied face could be seen on the ground amid the chaos.

      Four soldiers who defected from the Venezuelan National Guard could later be seen shaking hands with members of the Coalition Aid and Freedom Venezuela movement.

      Venezuelan troops fired tear gas at a crowd trying to dismantle barricades on Saturday morning.
