Colombia: Truck carrying aid arrives at Venzuela border
A lorry believed to be carrying humanitarian aid destined for Venezuela arrived at the border town of Cucuta on Friday.
The heavy goods vehicle arrived with a police escort, before entering a collection centre next to the Tienditas international bridge.
The 2.5-tonne shipment is part of a US pledge to send humanitarian assistance to the self-proclaimed president of Venezuela Juan Guaido.
The first load of humanitarian aid was prevented from entering Venezuela last Thursday after President Nicolas Maduro ordered the military to block the river crossing.
On Friday, the US State Department announced that they will begin flying in more relief supplies to Cucuta. The first flight is scheduled to depart from Miami on Saturday.
