
Poland: US Vice President Mike Pence pays respects to Auschwitz victims
The President of Poland Andrzej Duda and Vice President of the United States Mike Pence visited the former Nazi-German concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau, Friday.
Both leaders with their spouses - Agata Kornhauser-Duda and Karen Pence - paid their respects to the victims of the camp. The Polish and American couples laid candles in front of a monument to the victims before writing entries in a memorial book.
The leaders were joined on their visit by White House adviser Jared Kushner.
