Spanish filmmaker Isabel Coixet presented her film 'Elisa and Marcela,' at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival on Wednesday.

Inspired by a real story, the film tells the story of two women, Elisa Sanchez Loriga and Marcela Gracia Ibeas, who got married in Galicia, Spain in 1901.

Coixet refused to regard the film as a "manifesto," adding that the movie just depicts "love against odds."
