Alleged computer hacker Lauri Love appeared at the Hendon Magistrates Court in North London on Monday, where he launched legal action against the National Crime Agency over confiscated computer equipment, which he claims they refused to return to him.
On February 5, Love won an appeal against an extradition attempt by the United States, submitted last year, over an alleged hacking of US agencies' computer systems. The British National Crime Agency said it was refusing to hand back his computer equipment unless Love decrypts his encrypted files.
The Finish-British student was charged with stealing data from US government computers including NASA, the US Army, and the Missile Defense Agency. He could now face trial in the UK.
