Venezuela: Humanitarian aid can never be a political issue - Red Cross president
International Federation of Red Cross (IFRC) President Francesco Rocca begged stakeholders to respect the neutrality and impartiality of the aid organisation's mission, speaking at a press conference in Caracas on Friday.
"Humanitarian aid can never be a political issue. We cannot divide a population on the issue of humanitarian help, because humanitarian aid is always neutral," said Rocca.
"This is a difficult moment, we need the civil society to feel the importance of a neutral-in nature-work. A kind of work that is aimed solely at people in need."
