UK: Cardiff City manager hopes Emiliano Sala's family find 'peace & comfort'
Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock said he hopes the family of Emiliano Sala find "peace & comfort" after the deceased footballer's body was recovered and identified. Warnock made the remarks at a press conference in the Welsh capital on Friday.
Sala, 28, was on board a light aircraft which was flying from Nantes in northwestern France to Cardiff.
Guernsey air traffic control was reportedly contacted by the pilot requesting permission to descend, but the plane subsequently lost contact and disappeared off the radar.
A search found the Piper Malibu plane on the seabed off the Channel Islands on Sunday, two weeks after it went missing.
The body of Sala was discovered late on Wednesday and identified the next day.
