State of Palestine: Family mourns man killed in clashes with Israeli forces
The family and friends of a Palestinian man killed during protests at the Gaza border gathered to mourn his death in Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza on Wednesday.
Mourners carried the body of Samir al-Nabaheen, who was 47 when he died, through the streets of Deir al-Balah to the Abu Ubaida mosque and then to the main cemetery.
Al-Nabaheen had been looking for one of his children who he thought had attended the weekly Great March of Return when an Israeli tear gas canister hit him in the face.
Since the Great March of Return protests started last March, at least 169 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire. Demonstrators protest every week to demand the right to return to their families' pre-1948 homes.
