      Russia: SU-27 intercepts Swedish reconnaissance plane over Baltic Sea

      Footage released by the Russian Defence Ministry on Thursday shows a Russian Sukhoi Su-27 fighter jet intercepting Swedish Gulfstream reconnaissance plane over the Baltic Sea.

      According to Russian Defense Ministry, Russian air area control systems detected an unidentified aircraft flying over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea towards the Russian border.

      The crew of the SU-27 shadowed the spy plane for some time until the jet changed its course.
