UK: Rare total lunar eclipse hovers over London

A total lunar eclipse known as Super Wolf Blood Moon was visible from London on Sunday evening.

During a total lunar eclipse, the moon, the sun, and the earth move into the same line for a short amount of time, creating a shadow which completely blackens out the moon.

The eclipse can be viewed from North and South America, Greenland, Iceland, portions of northern Europe as well as northwest Africa. This will be the last total lunar eclipse until May 26, 2021.
