Turkey: US Senator Lindsey Graham meets with Erdogan in Ankara
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted US Republican Senator Lindsey Graham in Ankara on Friday.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu was also present at the meeting.
"[We] discussed recent developments in Syria and Turkey-US bilateral relations," said Cavusoglu later in a twitter statement.
The meeting came shortly after an attack by the so-called Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) killed at least fourteen people including four US nationals in Manbij on Wednesday.
On Thursday, Graham reportedly took to the floor of the Senate during hearing for Trump's Attorney General nominee William Barr saying, "I hope the president would look long and hard about what we're doing in Syria."
US President Donald Trump announced earlier in January that the US would be withdrawing its forces from Syria.
