UK: Londoners 'fearful' and 'worried' after defeat of May’s Brexit plan
Londoners expressed their concern following the no confidence vote held in the House of Commons on Wednesday, which Theresa May survived and then vowed to return with an alternative plan.
London resident Suzie said she felt fearful and believes the will of the county is being ignored. "It's Parliament versus the people, there's 75 percent clowns behind me that are just doing the wrong thing, they are not listening to us, they are not working towards the best for the country, they just keep on and on this project fear, and they are just pulling the country down,” she said.
"I just think they need to get with it now, it's too late to go back, we can't have another referendum, we need to just get on with it," another Londoner Rosie said, adding "I'm really worried about the future of the country. I'm really worried for my children, I'm really concerned about what's ahead of us."
May's Brexit deal suffered a historic 432-to-202 defeat in the Commons on Tuesday, prompting the motion of no-confidence.
