Germany: Biathlon Team Russia starts preparations ahead of Rupolding stage
The Russian men's and women's biathlon teams arrived in Inzell, in the southern German state of Bavaria, on Monday, where they will start their preparations for the Rupolding stage of the biathlon World Cup, which kicks off on Wednesday January 16.
The Oberhof stage, which took place last week, was a success for Team Russia, as both men's and women's squads crossed the finish line first. The previous golden double by the Russian relay teams was achieved 13 years ago.
The leader of the Russian men's team Alexander Loginov, who had served a two-year suspension for doping in 2014, also claimed his first personal victory in the 10 km (6.2 miles) sprint race last Friday.
