State of Palestine: Posters of President Abbas in crosshairs appear in West Bank
Posters depicting the President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas in crosshairs appeared at the Haware checkpoint, just south of the West Bank city of Nablus, on Thursday.
The text accompanying the poster, which is written in Hebrew, reads 'eliminate the sponsors of murder.'
A local member of the Fatah movement, Maysoon Al- Qaddomi, defended Abbas by saying the posters represent 'terrorism.'
"We will support all of the president's agendas especially against the war carried out by Israel, also defending our martyrs," she said.
It comes amid exacerbated tensions between Israel and Palestine, following a spate of murders on both sides and the IDF's subsequent raids on Ramallah.
