The United Kingdom can revoke its decision to leave the European Union before its planned exit date of 29 March 2019 without the permission of the other members of the bloc, the European Court of Justice ruled in Luxembourg on Monday.

The case was ruled upon one day before British MPs are set to vote on the Brexit deal set forward by UK Prime Minister Theresa May.

Members of the UK Parliament are set to vote on the Brexit deal on the evening of December 11. If MPs back the plan envisioned by May's cabinet, then an EU Withdrawal Agreement bill will be admitted into parliament.
