Some 105 migrants were reportedly voluntarily deported from Tijuana back to Honduras on Wednesday, after giving up on their US asylum claims.

Migrants could be seen loading luggage and boarding a Mexican federal police aircraft bound for Honduras.

One Honduran migrant, Maria del Carmen Medina, said before boarding: "The president of the United States is angry right now, if he dies of a [heart] attack we will pay for it. That is why I am leaving, I do not want to be an accomplice to that death."

US border personnel fired tear gas at a group of about 500 migrants who attempted to storm the US border on Sunday. The Mexican government promised to deport migrants who had participated in the clashes.
