Argentina: River Plate supporters furious at Copa Libertadores Final delay
River Plate supporters in Buenos Aires were disappointed at CONMEBOL's decision to postpone the Copa Libertadores Final against Boca Juniors on Sunday, after the football organisation announced the match will be rescheduled, without releasing more details.
Some saw it as a lack of respect for fans, many of whom travelled long hours to reach the Argentinian capital in the hope to attend the event.
The match was delayed twice after the incident on Saturday, before being eventually suspended, and was due to take place on Sunday at 17:00 local time [20:00 GMT], before it was announced that it will be delayed once more.
The new date of the final will be decided at a CONMEBOL meeting in Asuncion on Tuesday, 27 November at 10:00 local time [13:00 GMT].
