USA: Mueller-themed ice cream truck serves up 'IndictMint Chip'
'Guilty Pleas-ures' - a Mueller investigation-themed ice cream truck - was handing out free ice cream outside the Russian Embassy in Washington DC on Friday to advocate for Robert Mueller's probe into alleged Russian interference in the US 2016 presidential election.
The truck offered rotating flavours including Mueller-Berry, White Russian, IndictMint Chip, and Chocolate Subpoena Buttery Swirl. Patrons were able to pick whether to have their scoop in a ‘Cup or Cohen’.
The ogranisers of the campaign, an action group called MoveOn, has described the 'Guilty Pleas-ures' on their homepage as: "the only ice cream truck defending the independent investigation by Robert Mueller into Trump's ties to Russian attacks on our democracy."
"One-hundred-and-ninety-one criminal charges and 35 people have been indicted so far today. We want to make sure that, you know as loudly as Trump tweets that, that we're making sure the story doesn't get out of the news," explained MoveOn Campaign Director Jenn Sturm.
Each day the truck offers frozen treats at different locations, with US Capitol and the US Supreme Court being among the top upcoming stops.
