Ukraine: Vyshinsky's custody extended until 28 December
Kherson City Court ruled on Wednesday to extend the custody of RIA Novosti Ukraine Editor-in-Chief Kirill Vyshinsky until December 28.
Vyshinsky’s current arrest was due to expire on November 4.
On Tuesday, the court overruled a request by Vyshinsky’s lawyer to replace judge Galina Radchenko, who allegedly overlooked a number of procedural violations. The journalist is expected to lodge a complaint with Ukraine’s High Judicial Council.
The RIA journalist is being held on suspicion of treason, which carries a prison sentence of up to 15 years.
