
Indonesia: Distraught family members receive treatment after Lion Air JT-610 crash
Friends and family members of Lion Air flight JT-610 passengers were being treated in the Depati Amir airport in Pangkal Pinang on Monday, after receiving news that the flight carrying their loved ones had crashed into the sea.
Footage shows distraught people being given first aid and assisted by medical staff.
Lion Air flight JT-610 flying from Jakarta headed to Pangkal Pinang crashed into the waters off the coast of Jakarta in the early hours on Monday, shortly after take-off with 188 people on board.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft disappeared from radar after around 13 minutes in the air, and authorities lost contact with the flight. Debris believed to be a part of the aircraft was found, and the aircraft is thought to have sunk after it crashed. It is unclear if there are any survivors.
