Israel: Netanyahu and Chinese VP launch new innovation centre
The Israeli Innovation Center was opened by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Chinese Vice President Wang Quishan, at the Innovation Summit in Peres Center for Peace in Tel Aviv on Thursday.
Netanyahu claimed that "Right now, as we speak, there are quite a few of the neighbouring countries that are reaching out to Israel and normalising relations with Israel which is a step towards peace because of innovation."
The founder of Chinese tech giant Alibaba Jack Ma and former Google chief executive Eric Schmidt were also in attendance.
The new centre in Jaffa will highlight 100 events that have transformed Israel into an internationally renowned innovative nation. Forward-thinking exhibits include holograms of the country's most important innovators.
