      USA: 21 injured as fire engulfs multi-storey car park in New York City

      Firefighters were called to a blaze at a car park in Brooklyn's Kings Plaza shopping centre on Monday morning.

      At least 21 people were reportedly injured in the fire, three of whom were civilians. The rest were firefighters mainly suffering from smoke inhalation.

      Burning vehicles on the second and third levels of the ten-storey structure sent billowing clouds of smoke into the air, forcing up to 300 firefighters to respond.
