      Russian special forces took part in drills in the Mediterranean Sea, as seen in footage released by the Russian Ministry of Defence on Thursday. The exercise took place in an undisclosed location.

      The Russian МоD reports that the troops practiced counter-measures against saboteurs and pirates, as well as the landing of marines, and rescuing hostages.

      Units also participated coastal facilities defence drills.
