Hundreds of small fishing vessels, reportedly from North and South Korea, sought shelter from typhoon Jebi in a bay off the village of Olga in Russia’s Far East, as shown in footage shot on Wednesday.
The exact number of ships is not known, but some reports suggest that up to 200 vessels could be in the bay.
Typhoon Jebi is the strongest storm to hit Japan in 25 years. At least seven people have been killed by the storm, 200 injured and over one million people have been forced to leave their homes.
