Serbia: March hits Pristina to demand Chief Prosecutor's dismissal
People flooded the streets of Pristina on Wednesday demanding the resignation of the Chief Prosecutor Aleksander Lumezi.
Outraged protesters accused Lumezi of supporting corruption as well as violating the 'war veterans' list' - a list of members of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) created to provide benefits.
The protests were fuelled by the recent resignation of the special prosecutor Elez Blakaj who wanted some politicians to testify that the list may have been inflated.
Blakaj claimed that he had allegedly been pressured by Lumezi during the investigation.
