Tens of thousands took to the streets of Caracas on Monday, in support of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, following a drone attack against the country's leader earlier this month.

Demonstrators marched waving national flags and portraits of Maduro and former President Hugo Chavez.

Maduro survived the August 4 apparent assassination attempt while giving a speech at a military event in the Venezuelan capital, when two drones loaded with explosives detonated close to a military parade in the capital's downtown. Mid-speech, Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores looked up, before being escorted away from the event by bodyguards.
