Pakistan: Five injured in suicide bus attack near Dalbandin

At least five passengers were injured in a suicide attack on a bus just outside the city of Dalbandin in the southwest Pakistani region of Baluchistan on Saturday.

Among the injured were two Chinese engineers who were reportedly returning from a mineral project in Quetta, as well as the bus driver and two local paramilitary troops.

According to a local official, insurgents of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack using an explosives laden pick-up truck.

The Balochistan region is administratively divided among three countries, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran. The largest portion in area and population is in Pakistan which has seen BLA-related attacks in the past.
