The legal team representing US President Donald Trump's presidential campaign manager Paul Manafort and Manafort's wife, were seen leaving the Albert V. Bryan Courthouse in Alexandria in the state of Virginia, Wednesday, for the seventh day of the trial.

The morning session started with a cross examination of the key prosecution witness and Manafort’s former business partner Rick Gates.

After a lunch break the prosecution called in another witness - FBI forensic accountant Morgan Magionos, who was the seventeenth person to testify in the trial.

Paul Manafort faces 18 criminal tax and fraud counts, which allege that he hid taxes on more than $60 million (£53.8 million) of income made in Ukraine. The former political consultant could face up to 30 years in jail if found guilty of the charges.

Manafort has pleaded not guilty.
