Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui and head coach of A.S. Roma Eusebio Di Francesco spoke to the press following their teams' friendly tie at MetLife stadium in New Jersey on Wednesday.

Real's Marco Asensio scored the first goal just two minutes after kick-off, with Gareth Bale scoring a second in the 15th minute. Roma's Kevin Strootman hit back with a late consolation goal in the 83d minute.

Ex-Spain manager Lopetegui praised Bale's performance, but refused to be drawn on comparisons with Ronaldo. "I don't like to make comparisons or say who's the most important. That is for yourselves," he told the press corp.

Real are preparing for life without Cristiano Ronaldo, following his multi-million dollar move to Juventus earlier in the summer.

A total of 18 teams are competing for a chance to win the sixth edition of the International Champions Cup. The tournament is running from July 20 until August 11.
