
USA: One killed, 3,200 evacuated from inferno in north California
At least one person was killed and many more injured in a large-scale wildfire which reached Redding on Friday, destroying at least 15 structures and prompting the evacuation of over 3,200 people.
The wildfire, referred to as Carr Fire by the media, started on Wednesday, and it is assumed that it was caused by an arson attack. Authorities arrested Brandon McGlover, a 32-year-old man from Temecula, as the prime suspect.
Over 700 firefighters are reportedly fighting the blaze, which has spread to more than 28,000 acres.
