      UK: Embassy protest against Assange arrest

      Protesters gathered outside the Ecuadorian embassy in London on Tuesday in support of WikiLeaks' founder Julian Assange, whose years of asylum look set to end.

      Rumours have been growing that Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno and UK officials have come to an agreement under which Ecuador will withdraw its asylum protection for Julian Assange.

      The WikiLeaks founder, who is holed up in the embassy, would then be handed over to British authorities.
