At least a dozen people were killed in flooding after a hydroelectric dam burst in Laos' Attapeu province on Monday, with the death toll expected to grow as hundreds remain missing.

Reportedly, over 6,500 people were left homeless, as the floods swept through at least six villages in the vicinity of the dam in Attapeu province.
